Plans to Demonstrate Key Fibre Channel Initiatives at Comdex

Business Editors
COMDEX Fall 99

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 1999--

--Company to Participate in Numerous Fibre Channel Technology Demos--

Interphase Corporation (Nasdaq:INPH), an international supplier
of enterprise networking technologies, plans to demonstrate several
new Fibre Channel initiatives at the Comdex tradeshow taking place in
Las Vegas later this month. Key highlights of the company's
demonstration activities include:

-- 2 Gigabit Fibre Channel HBA Demonstration -- Interphase will be
showing the capabilities of its 2 gigabit PowerSAN(tm) Fibre
Channel HBA which will be announced during the first quarter of
2000. Targeted for high-end storage and server vendors, this 2
gigabit per second Fibre Channel adapter provides simultaneous
transmit and receive operations yielding up to 400 MBps
throughput for bandwidth-intensive applications. Also featuring a
64-bit/66 MHz PCI bus architecture and an efficient state machine
processor design, this new product delivers the superior
performance and reliability demanded by today's server storage
and storage area network environments.

-- FibreAlliance MIB-compatible SAN Management -- Interphase has
recently added support for the FibreAlliance Management
Information Base (MIB) profile to its FibreView(tm) Enterprise
SAN Management software. FibreView Enterprise is a Java-enhanced
management tool which gives storage and system administrators
unmatched global control, monitoring, and troubleshooting
capabilities over Fibre Channel server connections in storage
area networks (SANs). FibreView Enterprise is the first HBA SAN
management tool to implement the open, shared technology
developed cooperatively within the FibreAlliance.

-- Fibre Channel IP Interoperability Demonstration -- In conjunction
with other leading Fibre Channel HBA vendors JNI Corporation and
QLogic Corporation, Interphase will be demonstrating the
multi-vendor interoperability of its Fibre Channel IP (Internet
Protocol) technology. The need for IP protocol support over Fibre
Channel continues to grow, and the ability for disparate Fibre
Channel equipment to interoperate on a common network is a key
milestone in the emergence of SAN technology.

-- Technology Partner Demonstrations -- Interphase will be
demonstrating its Fibre Channel HBA technology in conjunction
with key technology partners including IBM Storage System
Division in IBM's Technology Group Suite at the Riviera Hotel,
and Seagate Technologies in the FCIA Solutions Showcase.
Interphase and Seagate will be jointly displaying 2 gigabit Fibre
Channel products.

"The product demonstrations at this year's Comdex show make it
clear that we intend to deliver on our commitment to become the market
leader in creating high performance connectivity solutions for SAN
environments," said Greg Kalush, Interphase president and CEO. "The
company is excited about the success of our current products and the
potential for the enhancements we will be rolling out during the first
half of 2000."
Interphase will be demonstrating its Fibre Channel products in
Booth no. 1539 located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention
Center, in the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FICA) Solution
Showcase in Room N250 located on the second floor of the convention
center, as well as in various partner locations throughout the show.
Interphase will also be exhibiting several new products targeted for
embedded telecommunications servers and enterprise WAN connectivity
products at the tradeshow. More information about Interphase at
