I agree with you that K6 is a serious competition to intel, but what about the "name" brand recognition. Furthermore, with intel every quarter discount it price on older model chip to make room for new one, this will give AMD a run for their money. People should realize that AMD's K6 chip is perform only bare minimun better than intel's chip. As far as MMX, double Bus architecture design that intel will roll out upcoming May/97, AMD does not have any chip to answer on that call. So short term investment it is better to invest in intel stock than AMD, because the only direction that AMD can go is down....
