U.S. counties cite "serious" labor shortages

Wages and Prices
In most districts, the persistent tightness in labor markets continues to put upward pressure on wage increases. Boston reports that labor costs may be accelerating somewhat, with manufacturers offering attractive recruitment packages and slightly higher wage increases while retailers engage in more raiding. The Chicago, Minneapolis, Richmond and St. Louis districts report accelerating wages as well.

PS - Thanks to thte other Lee on another thread for posting these GEMS, he is usually the first to find economic news and get it posted so I can steal it and put it here. <ggg>

Went to work for a little while and missed 2 plays I was waiting for all week. Darn! Those numbers better be bad tomorrow.

I get my knee done tomorrow at Oh dark thirty. Since I don't know what shape I will be in the first couple days, my site might not get updated this weekend. Please make sure to check the date when you first hit the main page. I will do my best to at least put new charts up but probably won't change too many trend lines etc since I will likely not be inthe best mental capacity. My old lines generally hold for a long time but if tomorrow's numbers produce some psycho rally to new highs, I won't re-adjust until I sober up. <ggg>

Good Luck,

Lee
