Letter to Oregon

Heres a copy of a letter to Oregon cable guys at teledee@ci.portland.or.us
I am going to start writting to my city to tell them what I think about what Oregon is doing. I suggest others do the same.

I have been a Internet user for about 10 years. I look forward to connecting via broadband. I applaud the capital investments made by companies like AT&T to make broadband a reality.

I realize companies that invest billions of dollars want a return on their investment. I also realize that if there return is hampered they will be less likely to invest.
I would hope that governments would not constrain technology growth by premature regulation.
I suggest that you guys do what is in your cities best interest. I would think you would have better things to do with your money than hamper technology growth. perhaps spending money on schools or programs for the needy would better serve your city than creating legal roadblocks that will hamper your cities ability to connect to the Internet via broadband.
