I got to watch Spouse give birth. (Come to think of it, we're gonna rent that tape in a coupla months again.) It looked like nooooo picnic. Maybe it's the getting induced - but Spouse (who is a strong person in heart and body) was absolutely convinced that an epidural was a Good Thing pretty much as soon as Real Labor kicked in. I have video of happy smiling Spouse talking ...
a contraction hits, confused look, the breathing thing ...
a Demon Woman hurls curses at me for taping this...
(it's kinda hard to watch - this isn't an ache, nossirree, she's in Real Pain)
it fades, Spouse kinda goes "where was I?"...
she's sitting, talking, happy.

But after a few hours of that the time in between isn't happy any more. It's more like "I don't think I can take much more of this".

I hope that since the pilot hole has been punched, Tom will slide out easier.

I watched him kick and jostle Spouse's Uter-O-Lantern last night. It's a lot like watching a distant thunderstorm. "Ooooh! Didja see that one?"
