... Gap (GPS) rose just 1 percent, though it faced difficult comparisons with the year-earlier month, when same-store sales jumped 18 percent. Shares fell 1 11/16 to 33 13/16.

The flagship Gap stores "turned in a "mid-single digit" decline in same-store sales. GapKids posted a "low-single digit" gain. Banana Republic registered a "mid-single digit" rise. And Old Navy tallied a "mid-single digit" jump, the company said.
