Hello Russett

Thank you for the demeaning characterization, I trust you feel better now, and thank you for a more positive post.

Many of us having now listened to yesterdays conference call have arrived at our own interpretation, which is self evident judging by the thread comments.

What I find particularly interesting however is that with one obvious exception most posters here seem to imply one way or another that they are share holders and therefore, presumably have a stake in seeing our share price recover. Yet without missing a beat, the predominant tone of the majority of posts since yesterday's conference is again negative.

Now in the conference, Chris and associates laid out the company's recent and I must say significant accomplishments, including mine developments, impending developments and revenues. A concise strategy was detailed which management and the Board proposed, to address the majority of shareholders complaints and which was accompanied by performance time tables for the most significant issues. I should add that despite your characterization, SUF's strategy does include reasonable investment in SUF's three most prospective and strategic exploration plays being Klipspringer, Brazil and Yamba Lake.

A number of quite obviously rational and reasonable investment community callers indicated that the strategy was agreeable and in fact also agreed with Chris's observation that the Canadian investment community in general and a number of analysts in particular appeared to have proposed share targets that bore little resemblance to any fundamental business analytical principals, and appeared to be predicated more on following the market's emotion rather than analyzing value.

A few callers and a few of today's posters also wondered why SUF had not tried harder to privately match a buyer with the seller who has been so consistently undercutting the stock? Chris I thought clearly explained that they had tried as best they could, but that the house representing that seller, presumably CC, had refused to reveal who the seller was and had concealed the seller's identity behind a vale of fronts. Under the circumstances, it seems pretty clear that there is little more that SUF could have or can do other than what they have done, which is attempt to rally European and US investors behind the company. They, it would appear, are more concerned with a company's fundamentals than has been demonstrated by the Canadian investment community. It would seem the TSE & VSE crews would rather flog boiler room scams, over priced blue chips and 200:1 PE ratio e-plays, than grass roots opportunities with demonstrated performance and significant growth in the pipeline.

So in summary, we have a company which the Globe rated as one of Canada's best performers, which has significant revenues and more pending, outstanding prospects and industry leading performance, yet many here quite obviously could care less. I have to ask myself why?

The caller who berated Chris, clearly did not care that his complaints had been addressed by the company's remedial strategy and it would appear that many posting here today are similarly disinclined.

So I am left to conclude one of two things, many who continue to post negatively have a profit motive for wallowing in the mud, or, to coin a popular term, they are “irrationally un-exuberant”! In the latter instance, lithium and/or Prozac I understand, may be of some assistance.

Buylowsellhigh would appear to be a momentum player looking for a home run and doing what he can to lower his eventual buy-in, and perhaps that is what the rest are doing as well, or just possibly our old RSA snipers have been reincarnated, but for what its worth, I believe these folks are all posting to the wrong audience. Those of us who are still here are not selling and they have already shaken out the less committed. The remaining selling between now and early December will predominantly come from tax loss motivation, not their negative cheerleading, so if I may, like Gull and his associates before them, do you suppose they would possibly consider taking their profits and doing us all a favour, by posting to each other privately or just retiring to Jamaica.

This thread used to be a pretty good place to exchange positive and reasoned information and I perhaps naively hope to see that perspective return.

So here is to SUF's future, and to the discoveries we will enjoy in 2000, and the profit jump we will appreciate in 2002. May Chris “live long and prosper” and may the bird of paradise molt in the oatmeal of all who can not find something intelligent to post.

Regards

Exploration Nut
