my guess (of course one never knows) is that the stock will remain near (within 2 or 3 percent) its current price through monday. my reasons:

as you point out, there may be no announcement.

the announcement does not include the legal conclusions. for example, just because a jury thinks a defendant lied on the stand does not necessarily mean they think the defendant committed the crime charged. in other words, even after the announcement, we won't know the final outcome of the trial--to say nothing of possible years of appeal.

it's likely that the short term option buyers are uninformed--just doing what seems reasonable. i've seen this many times just prior to earnings reports where option prices are bid up, but the stock movement after the earnings are released doesn't justify the premiums.

as for what i did--resold the november 95 call a few days ago, covered, for 2.5625. of course this will be a bad play should the stock move up or down dramatically.

what make this so exciting is that none of us really know what will transpire. legalized gambling and it's fun.

good luck. place your bet.

regards
