(c) 1999 Phillips Business Information, Inc.

DiviCom Inc. [CUBE] will provide the entire digital television compression system for DirecTv Inc.'s [GMH] Castle Rock Broadcast Center in Castle Rock, Colo., executives of both companies announced. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DiviCom 's MPEG-2 compression system will enable the direct broadcast satellite (DBS) company to broadcast hundreds of digital channels to its nearly 8 million viewers throughout the country. The new contract continues a long-standing relationship between Divicom and DirecTv. For instance, Divicom built the entire uplink signal- processing system at DirecTv's Los Angeles Broadcast Center and provided compression equipment to DirecTv Japan.
