Bruce,

"If you have more than a gig of stuff, you need to clean house anyway."

A GIG may be a lot to you, but many users (especially in business environments) find a GIG to be relatively small. For home use I have bought ZIP disks three times. I use the disks for backing up my notebook. I also archive photographs on ZIP's. I will not buy additional disks at the same rate I purchased the first year, but personally I expect to buy at least a couple disks a year for home use. When I get a ZIP drive at work, I will be buying a few disks a year to archive the tremendous amount of spreadsheets and data that my job requires be generated each year. I guess it depends on your use. I agree that for some people a few disks will be sufficient for a lifetime. Finally, as far as cleaning house, some people are pack rats. With disks at $15/100Meg some people will just accumulate more and more junk never finding a need to clean house. After all, IOMG drives are advertised as storage "for all your stuff".

It would be interesting to see actual data across many users as this unfolds in coming years. I'm sure IOMG will be doing such surveys for revenue planning purposes.

Happy investing,

FF
