Pioneer-Standard Electronics to Distribute Microsoft Windows CE(TM) and Windows(R) NT Embedded 4.0 Operating Systems
Agreement Provides Pioneer Customers New Solutions for Embedded Systems Development
CLEVELAND, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Pioneer-Standard Electronics, Inc.(Nasdaq: PIOS - news) today announced the latest addition to its distribution agreement with Microsoft Corporation. Under the terms of this new agreement, Pioneer-Standard will distribute Windows CE(TM) and Windows NT Embedded 4.0 operating systems and development kits to OEMs, while teaming with system integrators to bring engineering services to the development community.
Pioneer-Standard has been an industrial distributor for Microsoft embedded operating systems since 1994, when it signed its first agreement to distribute the company's Windows Embedded operating systems. Pioneer-Standard distributes Microsoft OS products through its two business units, Industrial Electronics and Computer Systems Divisions.
