PeakSoft Multinet Announces Driveway(TM) Revenue Sharing and Co-Marketing Agreement, Peak.com Small Business Site to Distribute The Driveway Service
BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON--PeakSoft Multinet (ASE: PKS; OTC-BB: PEAMF), a pioneer of Internet communication solutions, announced it will distribute the Driveway(TM) Internet file storage service via the Driveway Service Providers partnership program.
Under the agreement, PeakSoft Multinet Corp. will distribute accounts to the Driveway service by providing a link to Driveway for registered users of their small business resource website, peak.com. Driveway (www.driveway.com) provides millions of busy computer users-from mobile professionals and small office/home office workers to home users-with a fast, simple and free way to store up to 100MB of valuable digital files and information in a private, personal space on the Internet. Driveway enables users to store and to transfer their files between different computers and people using any standard Web browser, and frees them from the problems and frustrations inherent with email attachments and removable media. This agreement supports PeakSoft's strategy to provide the most up-to-date Internet services to its customers, while also providing significant value to end users in the form of Web-based file storage and access.
"By becoming a Driveway Service Provider, we continue to make our Web site a great resource for small business professionals, and to provide these users with instant access to tools and services that are important for their success," said Doug Foster, president and CEO of Peaksoft. "Driveway is a natural fit for us, because it gives our users a convenient way, at no cost, to protect and access their data from any browser-enabled machine."
Once they have stored files in a password-protected Driveway account, users can organize and access their files from anywhere they have Internet access. Folders can be shared with colleagues, clients, friends and family, providing users with a way to publish and to distribute any type of text, spreadsheet, presentation, image, video or sound file quickly and conveniently. Driveway Corporation, a company with more than four years of experience in managing the mission-critical archives and files of over one million users, ensures that Driveway accounts are continuously available and regularly backed-up to offsite, disaster-proof servers.
"As today's consumers spend increasing amounts of time online, they are looking for new tools that go beyond traditional desktop applications," said Kevin Werbach, managing editor of Release 1.0. "Driveway's device-independent Web-based file storage space is one of a new class of services that help consumers manage their lives on the Net. Services like Driveway are an indication that the Net is moving from a series of destinations to an integral part of everyday life."
"We are excited to be able to provide Driveway to new customers with a premier company like PeakSoft," said Chris Logan, president and chief executive officer for Driveway Corp. "Now they can offer their customers our unique value-added service, allowing them to be more productive while they're traveling, to leave their cumbersome laptops at the office, to protect their important files from loss or disaster, and ultimately to get to their files from anywhere."
