Annette,
I think you should just step back and think before you talk. What make America great is its accessibility to people with disabilities.

There is always solutions and AOL can find a way spending some money and coming up with a solution or even the government gives grants for people to come up with solutions. Do you know PHONE was invested while Alexander Graham Bell was trying to come up with a way to help deaf people? He was a teacher for the deaf and his wife was deaf. In the end deaf people were locked out from the progress phone made.

As an AOL shareholder, a person with disability, and an AOL user I and would like to see AOL does not neglect the needs of people with disability. Take Microsoft for one, as it builds its Operating System, it gets the people with disability involved, asking feedback on how OS can be more accessible. In time of progress people forget the needs of others. Hope AOL does not forget this part.

Remember the blind people are not asking for free handouts. They like you will pay 21.95 to access to AOL and they have every right to get what they pay for. Why should you get more when they pay the same price as you do? Don't worry about "monitor that have braille". The blinds have their own equipment and if you are aware, they e-mail their buddies and family using Internet and read those e-mails without "monitor that have braille".

I have lurked this thread or other threads and noticed that at times when some people make these threads their playground, they start to talk without thinking.

p.s. As for fast food places putting braille on the drive through windows -- believe me blind people are happy about that. I don't think they want people like you patronizing them, holding their hands and lead them to the counter so they can order some food.

p.s.s. your $212 target will be reached even if AOL spends some money doing research, so don't loss any sleep over the request.
