Yes, Etrade definitely has its limitations in many areas, including options trading... lack of knowledge is one, having to leg in to a covered call or a spread is another. Etrade has been my Internet brokerage from the beginning. However, while the mistake was absolutely my fault (and a quick loss of $900.00 as I had to buy the options back the next day) there lack of knowledge when I called to find out if indeed the options were adjusted was amazing. They sounded more like high school kids rather than brokers...one of them even though SNC Nov 15 options referred to options that expired on Nov 15th... Anyway, I am now seriously considering transferring my account to a more knowledgeable brokerage... I'll check out A.G., Brown and Co. Wall Street Access, etc... Live and learn
