Gov?t mulls extending oil production quota now in place Energy and Mines Minister Al¡ Rodr¡guez said today that Venezuela is studying a plan to extend oil production cuts introduced by OPEC on April 1 this year and officially due to end next March. Rodr¡guez gave no details other than the government was looking into the idea of continuing what has been a very successful move in helping to more than double the price of oil in just a few months.
