<<PS: XAU is undervalued relative to POG. Which suggests gold may well go lower, or the XAU will climb? >>

Just like you, I've been watching this relationship very closely. I agree at the current price of gold there is a VERY BIG undervaluation problem with XAU. What I'm not understanding is NO ONE in the "broad" money press and analyst community has mentioned the relationship between extraction cost of the mining firms, profit, & POG.
There have been a great many business days this quarter with gold selling at $40-70 above the cost of production. Barring hedge postions(some of which have been widely reported), the minimum profits which will be shown by some of the mining firms are currently able to be PROJECTED!

This I here-by publicly "predict":
1. There will be SOME INCREDIBLE blow-outs of every possible earnings estimate by some of the top mining firms.
2. the reporting of earnings surprizes will be reported at the following levels:
a: CNBC - none at all
b: Bloomberg - lightly,& only ABX, PDG, AU first two if numbers are met.
c: CNN - maybe AU unless they "fail"
d: Fox News - none at all
e: all investment shows PBS - none at all
f: Wall St. Urinal - none at all
g: IBD - none at all
h: Individual Investor - none at all
i: Worth Mag. - ABX maybe.
Why bother going on. there will be no press.
