PRFM IN THE WALLSTREETE JOURNAL!!!!.here is part of a large 1/2 page article in section b-17 wallstreet journal article which Talks about how franchises are sharing the incredible of online retail sales and the unique way some these companies are making this happen "FRANCHISING:FOCUS ON RETAIL"
"WEBTECHNOLOGY OPENS UP A NEW MARKET."
here is the part on PRFM.
"Perfumania of Miami,Fla has even set up a separate company for online business. Rachmil Lekach chief executive officer at Perfumania.com, says that the retailer ships U.S.-based Internet orders from the same Miami warehouse that stocks the 290 domestic company owned stores. "but once you cross the border into another country, you have customs duties, shipping costs and currency differences." he says.
To solve these border-related issues Perfumania is hiring foreign franchisees to fill local internet orders. If someone in Argentina orders cologne online, the franchisee there can ship and bill the customer in local currency, splitting the proceeds of each online sale with the parent company."
