100cfm, without know your particulars, it sounds like you have made a giant step in seperating your emotions from your 24year investment. Congratulations.

I do not give specific investment advice, except to say that relative to the rest of the market a long term investment in the Gorillas is very likely to do much better than the overall market. If you have not (I believe you have), read the manual. Also read G. Moore's other works, "Crossing the Chasm" and "Inside the Tornado". His works really are a trilogy. It'll give you something to do during those tough first few weeks after buying these stocks and suffering the volatility. Plus you will feel so damn smart after you read them and the uptrend in the volatile prices prove that you are!

Consider splitting your investment between the Gorillas. Its more fun and may reduce your volatility, imo. Please don't get impatient about recovering your recent losses. DON'T PANIC. Whatever you do, DON'T PANIC. Take it from someone who did!!

It may take a while for you to recover your recent losses. Who knows what events could move this market or a particular stock?

I hope that others will discuss this with you today. I empathize with your situation, but a year from now you will be laughing!
