WATERTOWN, Mass., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Primix Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: PMIX), a premier strategic Internet services firm, announced today that the e-Commerce solution it built with Data General Corporation (NYSE: DGN) won second place in the competition for PC Week Best Practice Award for Business Process Improvement. The two companies accepted the award at the 1999 Technology Managers' Forum during a special ceremony in New York City.

"This award is recognition of the hard work a team of very talented people at Primix, Data General and Brandscape put into this project," said B.J. Choi, senior vice president and head of operations at Primix. "Data General's Internet storefront was the first application of our QuickStart approach to e-Commerce. To have it recognized with such a prestigious award is a powerful validation of this approach to meeting customers' e-Commerce challenges," said Choi in acceptance.

The solution, called 'Data General Now' and available online at dgnow.dg.com, earned the recognition because it "documented a highly disciplined, repeatable process that depicted how all stakeholder needs were met, from concept development through solution delivery," according to award officials.
