Charles Pluckhahn from Stephens & Co. points out that Alcatel doesn't have the SBC deal locked up as claimed. Here is a clipping from his notes yesterday, the full text is available at the Stephens & Co. Site. "• We don't know what market shares the suppliers will have, but we think it's a good sign that three of the five ADSL suppliers on the list use chips containing Aware's software. The list also contradicts reports that Alcatel was the “sole” supplier of ADSL technology for the SBC buildout."
