Xybernaut(R) Receives Allowance of Significant U.S.
Patents in Wearable Computing

Position as Leader in Wearable Computing Further Strengthened

FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Xybernaut Corporation (Nasdaq: XYBR - news), the leader in wearable computing,
has received notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) of two additional significant patents.
These patents build on the U.S. Patent 5,948,047 entitled ''Detachable Computer Structure'' by extending the coverage to
include a wider range of applications, products and wearable computers. The allowance of these two applications further
strengthens Xybernaut's already strong patent position in wearable computers. They are also expected to form the basis for
pervasive computing in general. Details on the coverage will be released when the patents are published by the USPTO.
