Right. Failure of WP and Lotus was because MSFT came out with Windows 2.0. WP and Lotus refused to write product for Windows until 3.0 was about to be replaced by 3.1, or there abouts. That was certainly unfair!! How daire MSFT promote a user friendly, multi-program platform that would case WP and Lotus to invest more money in their fabulous products. Why would anyone want anything other than WP and Lotus running in MS-DOS mode?
