I am short on VTSS.

It has certainly showed its upside volatility recently. Your short term idea of selling covered calls against the longtrem hold of the VTSS seems sound.

Being long on any tech stocks at this time will likly be depressing;
Especially so on a mini semi which is embarking on building a
new fab in a new state. The Colorado Springs facility is much
needed as VTSS is capacity constrained.

Do you know if VTSS is building a new 6 inch fab with all new equipment or did they buy an existing fab?? An older fab is cheaper and can be converted quickly. However, It cant be expected to yield as well as a new facility.

I can tell you that when a smaller company embarks on the
expense of building an all new fab and the HUGE expense of
all new equipment, the stock should be expected to languish.

When do you longs expect to see revenue from this new facility? The company has said it is "on schedule". This does not say much.

I started my short position at 28 7/8. so I'm still out of the money,
even with the 3+ point drop. Honestly, I dont like the high pe
in the face of building a new facility. Their Calif facility is ramped
to near max. I dont see the high revenue growth to support this
pe until the Colorado facility generates meaningful revenue...

I view the cost and timing of 'Colorado Springs generated revenue
as key to VTSS revenue growth. Any details on this new facility
would be appreciated.
