Chuck,

- Strong demand patterns that began in early Q3 are still continuing.
- Some OEMs move and some go to AMD for alternatives. You can see the results of this in the form of increased K6 line of products from various OEMs

Yes, I have noticed sustained increase of K6-x adds, from the last week of Sept'99. If the above two points are true, then we may see record sales of K6-x cpus this quarter. Because of higher sales of mobile cpus and k6-3s in Q4, we may also see slightly improved k6-x ASP - if there are no surprise price cuts by Intel at the low end. This may be a pleasant surprise for AMD; because as per the CC, AMD's expectations were lower ASP and no increased revenue from K6-x lines. Do you agree?

Regards,
Goutama
