Ahaa... That's what I was expecting... Thanks for the link Paul... Sometime next year all of those high-yield JGBs are going to come due and those depositors will be looking for their pay-off. Since trying to sell them into the market would crush their currency, the BOJ will repurchase them. And what will they repurchase them with?? Money they suddenly "print" out of the ether.
