Global Crossing Ltd. (Nasdaq: GBLX), which is building and offering services over the world's first global fiber optic network, today announced that its Conferencing Division won five awards, including Pillar awards for both Best Audioconferencing Service and Best Marketing & Advertising at Telecon West '99.

The 1999 Best Audioconferencing Service Pillar award recognized Global Crossing Conferencing as the most significantly advanced worldwide-company in audioconferencing services. Global Crossing Conferencing is an innovative leader in offering cutting-edge conferencing applications such as on-demand and web-based conferencing services.

The company also won a second 1999 Pillar award for Best Marketing & Advertising for its marketing communications campaign that educates customers about the company's video equipment and software evaluation program.
