Usually, a provider such as Williams doesn't go 'sole source' with any, one vendor. Also, check out the products. Sycamore can coexist with DWDM from another vendor. The idea behind Sycamore is to combine the Optical transmission gear with the intelligence of a router if I read their web page correctly. Hey, maybe somebody is figuring this out! Even day-1 'market order' people are approaching the black.
