Hi Shep, Who do I trust? What an interesting question. I don't even trust myself. That's why I look for other people's comments and ideas and compare my ideas with 3D reality to ensure I don't get afflicted with cognitive dissonance. An ever present danger. Jon calls it being 'separated from your position' and I really like that expression. Sure, I trust Alan Green$pan to do what I think he will do from what I've seen happen before and what he says and my impression of what he thinks. He aimed to avoid deflation. Sure enough, he printed money and deflation didn't happen. So, I use that knowledge to make a lot of money by finding the errors in logic that he and others make and placing my resources to do a good job instead of a bad job. He seems to me to be a really good guy who will keep a very steady and sensible monetary policy. I figure out what I think will be the effects of that policy and act accordingly. If he was random or confused in his approach, I'd take a very different approach. He is totally trustworthy it seems to me. Which isn't to say the policy is right or wrong or will have this or that effect. Just that he will act according to his declared ideas. Does that make sense? It works very, very well for me. [As far as I can tell anyway] Maurice [As far as I can tell, everything is just hunky dory with me. Though tomorrow or even 20 minutes from now could be a totally different picture.]
