You've basically described the etail vs. brick and mortar argument again, which is ok, but I think the market is reacting to etoys vs. toys r us online.

I know toys r us isn't ready with their own fulfillment so they must be outsourcing and buying time and market share for now... maybe selling at a loss on their site, I'm not sure...

I'll just have to wait until the xmas numbers are in to make a call on the future of etoys. Imo toys r us will be unable to automate and build a profitable online operation. But if online toys is too small as a space, it won't matter because etoys has to do close to one billion $$/year to make automation worthwhile.
