Fahey rings a very LOUD bell!.... and Francis Fahey does also. And I'm wondering if there was a Miss Fahey there somewhere-- either a neighbor, or schoolteacher... becuase that's what keeps springing to mind. Oh Sigh!!! my under ten year old brain is struggling so hard to remember!!! My father was with Bigelow- until the union came in in the 50s. He was very opposed and fought against it fiercely, and I don't know (being too young to understand) if he was forced out or chose to leave, but that;s why we wound up with Burlington in Virginia.
My music career began with Miss McGill who remained the best teacher I ever had. I was a Chappell back then. My cousin Gary Chappell was a policeman in Enfield. Gosh- he must be in his mid 50s now! I still remember him as a skinny kid who teased cats. We used to vacation with them on Cape Cod.
I am absolutely swamped with all these memories from childhood that I haven't thought of in years!!! Like going to the movies with Greg Quinlan in the 5th grade just before we moved - And Eddie Stevens- I think his father owned the funeral home?
And we skated on a pond that was across from the movie theatre and I think Dr.Robbins' office! -was that the freshwater pond?

I don't know WHERE Crystal Lake was!!! We had a cottage there for a few years.
What a funny thing- it's as if discovering I really did exist! All those childhood things were real---
Oh! I remember a hurricane in the mid 50s. when our basement flooded and we went down to Bigelow to watch the Connecticut River all swollen and huge...
And we used to go sledding at some place called Franconia?
