I seriously don't know what cloud you are on, Cloud 9 - wanna come up here flying with me? :) but I'm glad that when I get a medicine prescription, I'm getting what the doctor ordered. Without the FDA and other regulatory agencies, its a crap shoot I'm afraid. Interesting you bring up medicine - there is an outcry coming from our populace how they cannot afford it - I have several retired friends who with SS can just barely pay for living expenses and the huge medicine costs it takes for them to live. I appreciate the billions of dollars it takes to research and get FDA approval and see a ROI on that - but they are pricing themselves out of the market. Our medicare and medicaid will have to give at some point - already the children today will be slaves to pay taxes for the benefits you and I are "supposed" to get - wether we see them or not is another story. How much is medicine in Canada? Compares some scrips. Who said anything about "fighting free market systems"? I'm just talking about keeping the markets "free, competitive, and I'll even throw in safe" through regulatory laws. Safety is one thing - protecting the PEOPLE - but protecting companies from others - I don't buy into that.
