Never made it to the Reno area, I hear it's really something.

I think that Michael Murphy might have been associated with "Salt", many years back. It's not important, I just think that's the same fellow from some time ago.

<Must have put a damper on the trip... >

There was about three other guys from Jersey on the trip. The guy who was whacked was from Rhode Island.

Uh, I have to be honest with you. The guys from Jersey and I.....well.....everyone else was upset. Let's leave it at that.

It was probably not a great thing for the fellow's family back in Rhode Island, I give you that.

The guys from Jersey and I thought it rather absurd to get whacked in Fort Lauderdale. But that is what happened.

I was out playing cards and heard the MSFT rule....

Get this, I was playing cards with these fellows you might mistake for the Sopranos? As we were leaving, I said to one "How about golf at 9 in the morning on Sunday?"

One of the others said, "Pat! I'm either going to be just getting out of bed at 9, or...."

and I quickly said....

"....or wondering why you are awake?"

You like to leave these guys smilin', you know? Particularly when you have their money in your pocket.

To be serious, it's too bad the guy bought it in Florida but no, we did not get very upset about it. Around here you get used to it. So does the Broward County Police, evidently.....they keep that kind of thing out of the view of the tourists. Even the locals did not know much about it, as I asked around later and no one even knew.

So, I did not "leave it at that". I can't help it, I grew up in and around Newark, mayhem is not new to me.
