AhHA! Somebody was home after all! I knocked, but didn't hear anyone.....You are up late! Sure has been an interesting week all over, hasn't it...and my-oh-my, will be next week as well....Was just looking over the Microsoft board....
I noticed that one thing Mr. G mentioned a couple of times in his prepared remarks was M'Soft employs 30,000+ people....and that I'm sure doesn't count the temp workforce, and it sure as heck didn't include all the business'es that are helped along because of the investments by Microsoft and some of their past employees at every level, to say nothing of all the wealth created that filters down to so many other businesses and therefore individuals. By one newspaper's count out here a year or so ago, there are over 2500 millionaires here that have been created by technology in just the last few years! No matter what some people think, I think that we as a society are infinitely better off because of Microsoft....
By the time the lawsuits get settled, we'll probably be able to talk to our computers by then, and then what will matter...except that both government and M'Soft and other companies will have spent so much money that could have been used to accomplish so much more for all people everywhere....
