Good morning all,

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the thread members here for their insight and generosity. I had originally been a daytrader and was directed to this thread by a fellow SI member last April, when I expressed an interest in holding some stocks for the long term. Although I had no technical knowledge of the telecom business or CDMA technology, I plugged away, reading the manual, becoming a member of this and the QCOM thread and learning along the way.

Over the last six months, I have moved all of my investments, including my husband's IRA, over to Gorillas, overweighting in QCOM. My husband is a boatbuilder, who, though he is highly skilled, earns small wages for dirty, backbreaking work. He has been patient and supportive all these months while I spent hours reading and making the inevitable mistakes that go along with investing.

Last night Bill got home from work and I was able to give him the best gift I could: I showed him that we have doubled our investment portfolio and we now have the financial freedom to allow him to leave boatbuilding and take a year to retrain to become a high school math or science teacher, which has been his dream for a number of years.

I share this bit of our lives with all of you with gratitude and new found grace. We look forward to meeting you all in San Diego in February.
