<Taking a preliminary look at taxable income for the year 2000, it appears that to maintain Meditrust's REIT status the current dividend could be reduced by as much as 50%. Consistent with past practices, in January 2000 the Board will evaluate Meditrust Corporation's dividend policy.> What does it take to maintain one's REIT status? I would appreciate any help, thanks.
