<<I have not purchased the book yet and need to find it asap. Is it available through
the local bookstores or should I just order it online?>>

Fred, I bought both my copies on-line through Chapters in Canada and had them delivered within a couple of days; all major bookstores will have copies. So just do it, in fact buy two copies, one for a friend to loan out ( I have lent my first edition out to a friend )or for a present.

<< have spent my first few trading years chasing the small stocks trading in and out of positions and making my broker rich and leaving me poor. I'm a
slow learner but have finally caught on.>>

LindyBill calls these Shiny pebbles and suggests that we focus our $$s on Gorillas such as Q. Shiny pebbles are un-predictable, especially during earnings and you can see that stocks like QCOM and JDSU are event driven by earnings.
Also, practice LTB&H for at least 5 to 10 years.

<<It may have been mentioned in an earlier post (still catching up), but I have not distinguished between the the kings and actual gorillas in the G&K
index. How many gorillas are in the index or is this based on opinion. I have the definitions and read them several times but still unclear as to how to
define the difference. Is there a hypergrowth number we look for in a gorilla investment?>>

IMHO: Gorillas: MSFT, INTC, CSCO, QCOM ( RTFM for definitions )
Check at the top of the thread and you will see links to G&K definitions. There are portfolios that track G&Ks ( see below ). It is best that you Read the Fine Manual to understand hypergrowth and the definitions or tornado, I have never seen a hypergrowth number to relate to other gorillas;

Advocates of the Gorilla Game approach to investing are invited to introduce candidates for inclusion in Gorilla & King portfolios. Two portfolios have
been set up to track valuation changes of our selections based on hypothetical investments of $10,000 in each component at their 1/4/99 closing prices.
Note: Only Registered SI users will be able to access these portfolios. You can register for free from the SI Home Page.

We strongly recommend you read the basic text for the thread, The Gorilla Game by Geoffrey Moore, which is readily available at online bookstores for
less than $20.
