Sorry, you're wrong about that. I don't believe as you do. Although I think your beliefs are pretty twisted, I'm not even angry at you.
About the sheep and goats parable, instead of searching for
"tell tale signs" (i.e. ways you can twist the meaning), I think it would be better to just read it straight and go with the obvious, manifest meaning.
Let me shift topic slightly - you asked me whether I was a Christian. So let me ask you about your religious background. Clearly you are a Calvinist, but what denomination? And how did you come to your beliefs? Do your parents and their parents before them share the same religious background as you? Are you by chance a minister or bible teacher? I note you post a lot and your posts contain lots of Bible verses followed by your commentary or spin. The verses are from all over (one from Luke, then one from Matthew, then elsewhere, etc.). One has to immerse in scripture a very long time in order to do this. Don't feel too flattered by that. David Koresh could do this too. I understand he amazed divinity school graduates with his virtually encyclopedic knowledge of scripture and ability to draw multiple verses from all over the scriptures to "prove" his teachings. |
