MD Bryant: All excellent points that the DOJ and the judge and the rest of the whiners of the world chose to ignore in this sham of a trial. Gates was vilified as the nearest thing to Hitler and the press ran with it. People like Art cast themselves in the victimized category and feel very safe their as they cheer the DOJ from the sidelines.

The irony of the is whole thing is that MSFT seeing the possibility of being branded a monopoly bailed MSFT out with a 150,000,000 cash infusion (incidentally a great investment so far) and promised to support AAPL with Office for Mac. It certainly was an arms length quid pro quo to extract the IE concession from Mac which turns out to be no concession at all as IE 5.0 is miles ahead of the present NSCP browser.

I wish everyone had your commonsense but that is probably because I have been making this argument on this thread for months. Keep up the great posts.
