I think folks should be aware its possible for others to prove almost anything by finding supportive verses here and there. I just used a side comment you threw out in a post and found a bunch of verses saying explicitly one should drag around a cross or at least wear one. Sure it may not have been meant literally. That's likely true of much of the Bible, perhaps even most of it. Using quotations like these to assert one must drag around a cross or at least wear one to please God, is at least as valid a use of scripture as what you do.

One should use their common sense and their sense of right and wrong. Whether someone is saying that people should drag around crosses every day or whether one is saying God is a hate-filled monstrous ogre, one should use their good sense before buying into it.
