So I was wrong - it happens in the markets. Like I said before, I bought puts and calls. I sold my puts yesterday because it looked like the long term support just below 20 was in fact going to hold.
If I now sell my calls, I stand to lose about 1/3 of my investment on the straddle. How much of your investment in CPQ have you lost?
I certainly don't always make money from options, but I never lose my shirt because I'm not arrogant enough to not cover my backside in the event of being wrong.
The good thing about buying options is that with sensible asset allocation you can only lose a little but you can win big like I have done recently with Rambus Nov 70 calls.

Hey, "rich moron"(that was what you called yourself).... are we havin' fun yet? When the stock was at 19 on 10/21 you predicted a substantial decline in the next 3 weeks, and that's now!(oops, guess you've got 3 more days) You predicted earnings of .03 and a share price of 14 and change. So far, you've been nuthin' but WRONG! Oh yeah, I forgot, you guys in options ALWAYS make money, NOT! Btw, I love your profile! You may be more full of boloney than Jimbo! I suppose you play squash and your girlfriend models, too! jajajajaja El |
