The advertisement you talk about, may be the same one that appeared in today's April 13, Sunday Edition of Parade magazine. In today's Sunday Newspaper, the Parade Magazine insert. There is a full page color advertisement: Titled; "LIFE WITHOUT ULCERS" "It is now possible See your doctor. or call 1-800-58-ULCER FOR MORE INFORMATION." The picture is one of a man on an ocean shore, jumping in the air with glee The Add goes on to state that "A major medical breakthrough has confirmed that neither food nor stress brings about ulcers. Most ulcers stem from an infection in the stomach caused by bacteria known as H. pylori. H. pylori is also the reason most ulcers return after being healed. Treatment has now been developed that will do more than merely heal your ulcer, it can also wipe H. pylori from your system. Which for many people may put an end to those painful, but wrenching attacks. You don't have to live in dread any longer." The advertisement is from Abbott Laboratories, but no matter. This is the first such mention of H. Pylori I have seen in a national Magazine. More importantly it is in a magazine that is inserted in most major Sunday newspapers around the country and easily seen my millions. This is some good news for QUIDEL despite an otherwise down week.
