<I guess Intel has decided it invented the Video display adapter, nvram, and the concept of "slowing down".>

Read the quote again, Dan:

Specifically, Intel is alleging infringement of two patents covering dynamic nonvolatile-memory updates within a computer system, as well as patents relating to the invention of the graphics adapter and a method of operating a microprocessor at reduced speed.

Intel's patents are related to these technologies, not an invention of them. I don't know the details of these patents, much less the details surrounding Via's alleged violation of these patents. That's why I was asking for a link to an article that dives deeper into the lawsuit. Unfortunately, the only articles out there are the ones which just assume the easy answer, that Intel must be a bully.

Don't you think that there has to be more to this lawsuit that just old-fashioned strong-arming? I'm very sure that the legal eagles at Intel are accutely aware that the government is keeping a very close eye on them, especially after recent events concerning the DOJ vs. Microsoft. If Intel is going to commit a flagrant foul, they're not going to do it while the refs are watching closely.
