Khan,

the MSFT is indeed very good news. Most important for the immediate future, the MSFT of using vapor ware to freeze competitors has been neutralized. Hopefully, wind customers will have less incentive to wait for the CE or whatever RTOS vapor promises from MSFT.

On a side note, I am not sure but I think Gates was famous for being a miser. I remember reading articles about his charitable contributions were proportionally insignificant and limited to the causes of his mother. Ted Turner, when he gave away his billion to UNICEF (?) challenged Bill Gates to do something and Gates declined. His well publicized philantrophy might have started after his troubles with DOJ began, probably at the advise to the PR firms he hired to improve his personal image. Michael Milken did the same when he was being investigated. Again, I don't have all the facts. If someone has followed Gates' charity record, please post.

I take a lot of joy thinking that I am for sure a much happier person than the richest man on earth, at least for this weekend.

Ramsey
