Michael,

re: Microsoft eXtreme

Sounds like you were in your own private SanDisk heaven for a moment there, Mike. Did you stand up and yell, "right on" or something like that???

BTW, when I access ImageMate via my Windows Explorer it says "removable disk(H:)" and no reference is made to SanDisk.

It would be great to have a 3 second audio/video clip play each time ImageMate is accessed. You know, a SanDisk logo comes up and fades to gray while some catchy little riff plays in the background. It would probably get annoying after a while, but Microsoft does it for WinCE Services after a successful PC link-up.

Similarly, I even think it would be a great marketing tool to sell high capacity SanDisk CF cards directed specifically at the mp3 market. (The analagous situation in the digital camera arena is the Kodak CompactFlash that is called the "Picture Card".) The mp3/internet audio card would have a GenX logo on the front. When you first take it out of the box and plug it in there could be a trial version of MusicMatchbox or RealPlayer G2 or some other software preloaded (and SanDisk gets a marketing fee for preloading it). Alternatively, you could put a montage of mp3 clips with a brief music video as a record promotion. Throw in an audio interview with the artist about the creation of the album, too. If people weren't interested they could just reformat the card.

Just an idea.

Is it live, or is it SanDisk?
