In the short run I think Wexler may be right. There is little reason to believe that MSFT hasn't the talent to rebound from the ruling. I think once the initial selling ends this stock goes quite a bit higher....

However, some pretty astute techies I know have made a compelling argument that a year or two down the road Linux could undermine MSFT revenue growth significantly...Of course, it is hard to imagine that Bill (Gates not Wexler) isn't already looking for an appropriate response. Betting against Gates has been a disaster looking for a place to happen forever...

Having said that, I don't think I will own MSFT 18 months from now...
