The problem with those exclusive agreements, is two-fold:

1) MSFT is stifling choice for the consumer
2) We can't be sure that MSFT is not using their monopoly power to "persuade" the major PC OEMs to accept these agreements. Indeed, why does Dell and Gateway not accept a deal from Corel? Answer is, MSFT would lose market share in suites. And, horror of horror, someone might actually prefer Corel! And we can't have that becoming commonplace.
