Ed, just to make sure that you or others on this thread do not play too loosely with words, there is a difference between an investment advisor (which I am) and a fund manager. I do not play with other people's money. I simply look for great stocks and tell my clients (limited number to assure maintaining the value of the information) why I think such and such stocks would be good investments. As my clients can confirm over the past 18 years, our gains in a bad year (like 1987) have run near 20 percent, but in good years more like 40 to 200 percent, by investing in great stocks, such as Berkshire Hathaway, Johnson & Johnson, QUALCOMM, and Vodafone AirTouch. We've had a few unsuccessful ones as well, but many fewer.
