Olu: As I understand it MSFT did nothing but add hooks into the MSFT O/S so that its implementation of the core code would allow for superior performance. There is no client for Java that is universal and every application must be tailored to the platform. This is why I left the Mac as there was no streaming financial data software available for the Mac. The problem lies in the fact that others would not make java work as well wit their platfforms as MSFT did. Again MSFT being tarred and feathered for doing the job better. JFD
