Despite the .com name, when you research this you soon realize that this _isn't_ a bunch of 22 year olds in a converted warehouse in San Francisco trying to figure out how to make teenagers click on banner ads. The exec team is littered with ex-McKinsey and Co consultants and managers, and they are based in Pittsburgh not Market Street: freemarkets.com Here's a page with a day's worth of links to follow: freemarkets.com FMKT also appears to be hiring big-time: freemarkets.com Should we be comparing this to CMRC? IMHO FMKT's "buy-side" auctions provide a much more focussed business model than the fuzzy VERT.
