On a lighter note, tell Hubby that:

"Those that can do, those that can't teach, and those that can't teach administrate."

Likely, he will find his new career to be most rewarding. I know that the years I spent in a similar endeavor were among the most enjoyable and challenging of my life. Just someone who has "been there, done that", pointing out that he will have to "deal with" those of an entirely different mindset.
